Bags. I love them. And you?

I love bags, and I always have one with me.
In a very small one I’ve put my passport, meds and lipcare and such.
Whenever I leave the house I either take that small bag, or throw it in a larger one.
A while ago I bought a bag for my smallpipes (small bagpipes) from Lynne. See here..
It’s perfect, with room for my music, maintenance equipment and the smallpipes.
And the look? Bright sunny, with ribbons. To make all those male bagpipers with their black cases smile.
And they do. Because the bright colours lift up everyone’s spirit.
Sowing and quilting is in Lynne’s family.
Her sister Karen makes wonderful bags too, and my daughters and I share one we’ve bought from her.
Again, as well made as possible.
This one is perfect to wear on the bicycle. You can see it here.
Whenever we’re not using it, it carries my flutes and shows itself off on a hook at a strategical place.
No way I’m going to hide something which is made with love and care.
The past weeks I had a strong urge to do something nice for myself.
Coffee with a cookie just wasn’t enough. The flowers on the table, I got from my son when he had too many bouquets after he got his diploma, made me sneeze. And the froozen ground didn’t even accept a tiny bulb.
I so longed for colour, warmth, fun, more fun and s mile and.. a bag.
To be honest, I questioned myself if I didn’t have enough bags.
I really did.
But when I saw the one Lynne’s sister Grace made I fell.
And so did one of my daughters, even though she saw just a glimpse of the picture.
We threw our money together, asked the dollars someone still owed us to be paid back on paypal, and… we’ll get one of the peace bags Grace made.
Curious now?
I can understand.
Here’s a small picture and when you click it you’ll see the larger one.
Karen has on her etsy side all sorts of bags.
Different colours, different sizes, different forms.
They all are very well made, with hidden seams, pockets inside and the extra’s that make you feel happy with a bag.
I’m looking forward to our peace bag, and I’m sure the girls will try to use it as much as possible.
I hope you will find a nice one for yourself too.
The next one on my list is the spring green shoulder purse.
But I wanted to leave something in the shop for you.

Laane – You are so sweet! I spoke with Grace this morning and she is busy sewing your peace bag together. She can't wait to get it off to you. We all think you are pretty special too and think it's so funny that you will now have a bag from each one of us!
