The table has arrived

lawristoelenkastklein After the father of the children managed to fall through the table while resetting the clock after the time change.

We haven’t been able to find the same table, not even one who was round with extra pieces in the middle.
The rectangular tables were either too large and too expensive, or too small and too expensive. Hmmm.

So we ordered one from internet.
One picture, the sizes, and that was it.

I was told to call this morning at 8 to hear the delivery time.
A computer told me they would deliver the table between 7.32 and 10.32.
Yep, between seven and ten.
The computer was not clever enough to tell me whether it was in the morning or in the evening. LOL!

Ofcourse I cleared the hallway from anything that might get in the way of the table, and i made place in the room.
Good I didn’t wait until the afternoon, which would have been right when they would have delivered at a time most people are at home.

Just a few minutes before ten a very nice young guy came at the door.
A few signatures and a smile and there it was: a huge box.

It took me over an hour to put the legs on.
One of the screws was far too far in the corner and I could turn just a quarter circle with the special device. Me oh my…

When I had three legs under it I put it standing, lifted the legless part over a chair and then put the leg on.
Greet way to prevent having the ligt 1 meter 90 of heavy wood.

The table is in place now.
It’s huge… a bit too dark to my feeling, but the kids love it.

Well, it stands very secure. Not a tiny move when I push against it.

I haven’t tried out standing on it.
That’s for the person who fell through “my” table.
